The concept of NANOTEG is to solve crucial cooling and energy-management issues in transport and energy-efficient applications, based on the technical leverage enabled by highly efficient nanostructured ThermoElectric (TE) modules compatible with high volume fabrication processes.
Several relevant industrial demonstrators will be produced to create a strong impact in two identified application domains: Automotive and Avionics.
Leitat’s role in the project:
- Printed thermoelectric modules: development of printing technologies for its application in thermoelectric module manufacturing (WP1) and its integration into the final demonstrators (WP3).
- Integration definition of printed modules for lighting systems and distributed cooling (WP3). Definition of packaging technologies and characterization for TE modules, especially for printed modules (WP2).
- Testing and validation studies in ageing, especially in lighting modules, and lifetime analysis (WP3).
